OFFICIAL UPDATE: 8TH CENTRAL PAY COMMISSION (CPC) MEETING
Dear Members,
Under the visionary guidance of Er. Khanan Sir (Founder President, SCREA), Er. B.P. Dash (GS, AIREF), Er. Pannu (President, AIREF), and Er. Bobin Mohanty, a high-level SCREA delegation successfully met with the 8th CPC officials today.

📋 Key Agenda Points Discussed
The delegation strongly countered the systemic issues faced by rail engineers, focusing on three core demands:
- Addressing Promotion Stagnation: The delegation highlighted the severe lack of timely promotional avenues. The Pay Commission formally acknowledged this fact during the discussion.
- Restoration of Pay Scale Status: The committee was appraised of how rail engineers’ scales have been consistently downgraded since the 5th Pay Commission. A formal request was made to restore our original, rightful status.
- Risk Allowance for Field Engineers: A strong case was presented to grant Risk Allowance to all field engineers working under hazardous and demanding conditions.
